WorkRent Terms of Service

Effective Date: October 13, 2026
Last Updated: October 13, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WorkRent mobile application, website, marketplace, and related services ("WorkRent" or the "Services").

By creating an account or using WorkRent, you agree to these Terms.

1. What WorkRent Is

WorkRent operates a marketplace that helps users connect for local work, services, and equipment rentals.

Users may post jobs, offer labor or services, accept or counter offers, list equipment, rent equipment, communicate, make payments, receive payouts, and use other marketplace tools.

Unless WorkRent expressly states otherwise for a specific service, WorkRent is not the employer, employee, contractor, subcontractor, landlord, tenant, equipment owner, agent, partner, or joint venturer of users.

2. Independent Users

Workers, contractors, customers, equipment owners, renters, property owners, property managers, and other users act independently.

WorkRent does not control the means or methods by which independent users perform work except for marketplace rules designed to promote safety, quality, payment integrity, and compliance.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use WorkRent.

You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate another person or create accounts for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.

4. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity occurring through your account.

You must promptly notify WorkRent if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Identity Verification

WorkRent may require identity verification, payment verification, payout verification, or other checks before allowing access to certain features.

Verification does not constitute a guarantee that a user is trustworthy, safe, licensed, insured, qualified, or suitable for any particular transaction.

6. Jobs and Services

Users posting work are responsible for describing the requested work accurately. Users accepting work are responsible for determining whether they have the skills, licenses, insurance, equipment, and legal authority necessary to perform the work.

Users must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, licensing requirements, permit requirements, safety requirements, and professional rules.

7. Offers and Pricing

Jobs may include posted prices, offers, counteroffers, service calls, diagnostic fees, material quotes, or other agreed pricing structures.

Users are responsible for reviewing and approving pricing before proceeding.

8. Materials

Unless otherwise agreed, labor pricing and material pricing may be treated separately.

A worker may submit a materials estimate or request through WorkRent. A customer may approve or decline the request.

Approved materials may increase the total transaction amount.

9. Payments

Payments may be processed through third-party providers such as Stripe.

WorkRent may collect marketplace fees, service fees, processing fees, or other fees disclosed before or during the transaction.

Users authorize WorkRent and its payment providers to process amounts associated with accepted jobs, rentals, materials, fees, refunds, chargebacks, or other authorized transactions.

10. Payouts

Eligible workers or equipment owners may receive payouts after applicable transaction requirements are satisfied.

Payout timing may depend on payment processor rules, verification, fraud review, transaction completion, banking systems, or disputes.

11. Completion Confirmation

WorkRent may require completion photos, customer confirmation, worker confirmation, or other evidence before a transaction is considered complete.

12. Equipment Rentals

Equipment rentals are also governed by the WorkRent Rental Agreement.

Equipment owners are responsible for accurately describing equipment, condition, availability, restrictions, and known defects.

Renters are responsible for lawful and safe use of rented equipment and for returning it according to the agreed terms.

13. User Responsibility and Safety

Users are responsible for evaluating transactions and taking reasonable safety precautions.

WorkRent does not guarantee the identity, conduct, performance, workmanship, quality, licensing, insurance, suitability, safety, condition, or legality of any user, service, property, or equipment.

14. Prohibited Activity

Users may not use WorkRent to:

  • Offer or request illegal goods or services
  • Buy, sell, distribute, or facilitate illegal drugs
  • Offer sexual services or sexually exploitative content
  • Traffic weapons where prohibited
  • Engage in fraud or deception
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or exploit others
  • Post stolen property
  • Post dangerous or unlawful equipment
  • Discriminate unlawfully
  • Bypass WorkRent payment systems to avoid applicable fees where prohibited
  • Upload malware or interfere with WorkRent systems

15. User Content

You retain ownership of content you create, subject to the permissions necessary for WorkRent to operate the Services.

By uploading content, you grant WorkRent a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, process, and use the content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote, secure, and improve WorkRent.

16. Reviews

Reviews must reflect genuine transactions and experiences. Manipulated, purchased, retaliatory, fraudulent, or misleading reviews may be removed.

17. Cancellations, Refunds, and Disputes

Cancellation or refund eligibility may depend on transaction status, circumstances, payment-provider rules, and WorkRent policies.

WorkRent may review transaction evidence, photographs, communications, payment records, and other relevant information when assisting with disputes.

18. Taxes

Users are responsible for their own tax obligations unless applicable law requires WorkRent or a payment provider to report, collect, withhold, or remit taxes.

WorkRent or its payment providers may request taxpayer information or issue tax documents where legally required.

19. Suspension and Termination

WorkRent may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, safety, legal compliance, policy enforcement, payment risk, or marketplace integrity.

20. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WORKRENT IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.

WORKRENT DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT EVERY JOB, WORKER, CUSTOMER, RENTAL, TRANSACTION, PIECE OF EQUIPMENT, OR USER WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

21. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WORKRENT AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USER-TO-USER TRANSACTIONS OR USE OF THE SERVICES.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

22. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless WorkRent and its affiliates from claims, losses, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful conduct, violation of these Terms, misuse of the Services, or infringement of another person's rights.

23. Changes to the Terms

WorkRent may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be posted on this page.

24. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable United States law and, where legally permitted, the laws of the state in which WorkRent, LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
